Quiz Nights
...
... at The Fox are always fun, and whether it is one of our regular
Monday night public quizzes
or a private function, a bit of friendly competition is always good for
the spirit.
How you tailor your own
quiz night is entirely up to you, but here are some ideas that might get
you started.
How many rounds do you
want to have, and how many questions in each round? We've found
that four rounds of fifteen questions seems to be ideal, but you
may
choose to have more or less.
A range of topics ensures
that everyone has a chance in areas that they know something about, and
TV, film, general knowledge, sport and music rounds are always popular.
Do you want to award
prizes, and if so, for each round or just for the overall winners?
Again, our experience is that smaller prizes for each round and a larger
prize for the overall winners means that more people go home feeling
that they are winners.
Do you want to offer teams
the chance to play a joker - that is, a round where their points are
doubled? This can really put the cat amongst the pigeons, and it
all adds to the fun.
How you organise your quiz
night is up to you, but we will be happy to help in any way we can:
- We can
provide you with the questions (and the answers!) for
your quizmaster. If you choose to write your own
questions, don't forget to write some tie-breakers for
rounds that end in tied scores
- We can
provide a quizmaster too, if you'd prefer
- We can
supply the prizes, or you can bring your own
- We can
offer a range of
food options, hot or
cold, to start the evening or to make a break in
proceedings
Call us on 01235 821228 to
discuss the options and your ideas. We make no charge for running
a quiz night, only for any prizes and food and drink we provide, so let
us know what you have in mind and we'll be delighted to help.
