In addition to our
regular
brands, we also offer Greene King's seasonal ales, as well as
guest ales from other brewers. Our next guest ale will be Tom
Wood's Bomber County.
Brewed by the
Highwood Brewery in Lincolnshire, Bomber County
has the image of the Lancaster bomber on the logo, Lincolnshire having
been a centre for heavy bomber squadrons during the Second World War.
Bomber County
is a special dark red beer brewed to 4.8% ABV, and has the dry hoppy characteristics of all Highwood Brewery Beers.

We are very proud to
say that our Aunt Sally 'A' team yesterday secured the Abingdon and
District Aunt Sally League Premier Section title. Unfortunately,
it looks likely that our 'B' team will finish bottom of Section and
therefore pick up
the
wooden spoon. I suppose that is why they are called the 'B' team!!
However, both sides had
a great deal of fun this season, and are looking forward to defending
The Fox's honour again next year.
It is not too late to
book your own
Aunt Sally party at The Fox. Use of the pitch is
free of charge, and we would be pleased to organise any food and
refreshments you might want. Give
us a call to discuss what we
can do to help.
Congratulations to both
our Aunt Sally teams, and thank you for livening up our evenings in the
garden this summer.

Our next guest ale will be Greene King Swing Low. Brewed to 4.3% abv, Swing Low is an aromatic ale with a refreshing bitter finish
created to celebrate England's defence of the World Rugby Union Cup in
2007.
It's an ale well worth a try (sorry!)

Wireless (Wi-fi) broadband access to the
Internet is now available at The Fox. The service is free of
charge to our customers, so there's no reason not to make use of it.
All you need is a username and password to gain access through our
gateway, and you can obtain yours from our bar staff.
Clearly, there are many
advantages to our having this facility for our customers:
- How many times
have you been in a pub with a customer or supplier, only to wish you
could look at their products or services on-line over
lunch?
- What's more
annoying than leaving the office at the end of the day only to
remember that important email you should have sent before you left
your desk?
- When
you're working away
from home, wouldn't it be great to be able to read your mail or
access your favourite web sites from your home away from home?
All this and more is
now possible at The Fox, and we hope you'll make full use of our new
service.
Wireless access to the
Internet at The Fox; more enjoyable than another late night in the
office!

In
addition to our regular brands, we also offer Greene King's seasonal
ales, as well as guest ales from other brewers. Our current guest
ale is Morland's Old Speckled Hen.
Brewed at
4.5% abv, its fruity, malty aromas and flavours come from the
combination of pale and crystal malts and of a strain of yeast first
used in 1896 that is unique to Speckled Hen.
The balanced bitterness
and dry finish owe their characteristics to the Goldings hop, a variety
recognised as having the most typical of English aromas.
