Morland's
Old Speckled Hen has always been a most gratifying ale, but at 5.2% abv
it does have its side effects - wobbly legs and spinning heads!
Now Greene King is making Speckled Hen more accessible by reducing its
alcoholic content from 5.2% to 4.5% abv, making this premium bitter more
attractive to drinkers, particularly lunchtime drinkers. Now you
can enjoy the malt loaf and toffee flavours that characterise Speckled
Hen at any time of day.
Our first delivery of
the "new" Speckled Hen will arrive this month - the same great taste but
without the side effects - a most gratifying partnership.
Our
current guest ale, Abbot Ale, has been so popular that we have extended
its run for another week, but we thought you'd like to know what's
coming next.
Ridley's Old Bob is brewed to 5.1% by volume using a superior blend of malt and hops that characterises this
full-bodied, smooth and warming premium ale.
Old Bob proved very
popular when we ran it last autumn, so we know it will make a welcome
return when it's on tap at The Fox next week.
