We've
always thought The Fox was a good place to relax, but now you can get
even more chilled.
We have added Guinness
Extra Cold to our range of draft beers. A refreshing pint, perfect
as a summer thirst quencher, Guinness Draught Extra Cold goes through a
super cooler on the way to the glass, making it about one-third cooler
than the standard Guinness Draught.
We
haven't forgotten the lager drinkers amongst you either. When
Foster's was first launched in 1888, every Foster's stockist was given a
free supply of ice to keep the beer cold. Luckily technology has moved
on since then, and we have placed our order to have a Fosters Super
Chilled lager font installed, meaning you will soon be able to enjoy your favourite
Fosters even colder.
Chill out at The Fox
this summer with your favourite draught beer - now even colder.
This
month we will be introducing a new bitter to temp your taste buds.
Ruddles Smooth is a
full-bodied chilled ale, making it an ideal bitter for the warm summer
months. Brewed at 3.7% abv, you can enjoy a lunchtime pint without
ruining your appetite for that afternoon meeting.
Ruddles bursts with
characteristic hop aroma and flavour, and if you prefer keg bitter to
cask ale, we know it will go down smoothly.

Tuesday night is Steak Night at The Fox. Order two
steaks from our
grill menu - 10oz Sirloin, 10oz Rump,
10 oz Gammon, 8oz Fillet, or our massive Mixed Grill - and we will give
you a free bottle of red, white or rose wine from our
new wine list free
of charge.
Your
steaks will be grilled to your liking and served with all the trimmings
- onion rings, mushrooms, grilled tomato, chips, peas and salad garnish
- and you can choose to add a peppercorn or stilton sauce to accompany
your meal.
This offer
is available between 6pm and 9pm every Tuesday night.
We look forward to taking your order.

If you are one of our many regular
customers, you may be aware that we have a significant problem with some
drivers using our car park as a public car park.
For
the past two years we have tried politely reminding drivers that our car
park is for the benefit of our customers, but to no avail. Therefore,
reluctantly, we have employed a security company to help ensure there is
space for you when you visit us.
We
hope that the advisory notices in the car park will be sufficient to
remind people that our rent and rates bills are paid by customers buying
food and drink here at The Fox, not next door, and that we won't need to
take any further action.
Undoubtedly there
will be odd occasions when you may want to visit the neighbouring pub,
and when you do we are happy for our customers to park here –
just a small thank you for your custom during the rest of the year.
When you do, all we ask is that you pop in and let us know that you will
be leaving your car here for an hour or so.
We enjoy your company, so we hope our new
signs will mean that there is always space for you at The Fox.

In
addition to our regular brands,
we also offer Greene King's seasonal ales, as well as guest ales from
other brewers, and over the past two years we have offered more than
twenty
beers for our customers to choose from.
Our current guest ale
is Greene King Triumph. Brewed to 4.3% abv, Triumph Ale is a
superb golden cask ale brewed with four different hops to give a
wonderful depth of flavour, rounded finish and fruity aroma.

The
changing seasons see people's drinking habits change. For example,
Guinness sales rise during winter, and in summer, with the sun
beating down, many beer and ale drinkers' tastes turn to more refreshing
drinks such as lager and cider.
With this in mind, we
have added another cider to our range. Strongbow Sirrus is a
triple-filtered cider best served over ice, and complements the draught Strongbow and Scrumpy Jack and bottled Woodpecker ciders we already
stock.
Call in at The Fox soon
and try a taste of summer.
