Every
August Bank Holiday, we hold a charity
Aunt Sally competition in memory of
Anthony Millbank,
all money raised being donated to cancer charities. Last year we raised
over £200 for Macmillan Cancer Relief, and this year we'd like your help
to raise even more.
This
year's event will take place on Monday 29 August. It's
fun for all the family, and we shall be serving food all day, so why not
take advantage of our August
Loyalty Offer
on children's meals, have some fun, and raise some money for a good cause all at the same time.
You can even stay on into the evening and take part in our
weekly quiz -
how much fun can we pack into 24 hours?!?
We
believe there will be lots of interest this year, so if you're
interested in taking part you should aim to be at The Fox around 12.30pm
so that your names can be registered for the draw. It costs only
£5.00 to enter, and all entry fees will be used to support those
fighting cancer. The winners will all receive small trophies to
commemorate their achievements.
Whatever
you do this August Bank Holiday, have a great weekend, but we really
hope to see you for The Anthony Millbank Memorial Charity Aunt Sally
Tournament at The Fox on Monday 29 August.
Here
at The Fox, in return for your support we run a
Loyalty Card Scheme.
Each month we make a money-saving offer that is only available to
loyalty card holders.
Throughout August, you
and your family can save money here at The Fox, because we are offering a
free child's meal with every adult's meal every Saturday and Sunday, and
on Bank Holiday Monday when we will be holding our
annual charity Aunt
Sally competition.
You can save money on the kids' drinks too: while stocks last, if you
buy one Schweppes Deuce and we'll give you a second one free.
Joining the scheme is simple: complete the very short application form, hand it to the bar staff, and you can begin
using your card immediately. It's that easy.
Pick up your card and begin saving
money at The Fox today.

Each
year, Steventon hosts the Truck Music festival, and
this year's festival will take place at
Hill Farm on July 23/24. As usual there will be a combination of
exciting new acts and Truck favourites right across the musical
spectrum, and this year The Fox Inn will be offering breakfast to all
festival goers between 8 and 10 am on both Saturday 23 and Sunday 24
July.
It should be a great
festival, with
many new bands confirmed to appear.
Enjoy the music, and we hope to see you for breakfast.
In
addition to our regular brands,
we also offer Greene King's seasonal ales, as well as guest ales from
other brewers.
Our current guest ale is
Ruddles County.
Brewed in a time-honoured manner using the finest hops and premium
malted barley, it has a distinctive flavour and traditional English
character, with an inviting aroma of soft fruits and light hops.
Coming soon ... Greene
King Ale Fresco;
light in colour, fresh in taste, this refreshing golden ale displays
crisp notes which create the perfect summer ale.
