We are
proud to have been rewarded by Greene King in their Annual
Excellence Awards. The Fox Inn has been named a regional
finalist in
the New Licensee of the Year category for the brewery's Wessex
region of over 400 pubs and hotels.
In making the award Greene King's
operations director, Craig Lewis, was impressed by the significant
improvements we have made over the past ten months. New bar and
restaurant menus, a new children's menu, new table linen in the
restaurant, a new music system, improved furnishings in the bedrooms;
all have contributed to the 50% increase in trade since last year.
It's gratifying to have been selected for special mention by Greene
King, but it is really a reward for the entire team who worked so
hard last year.
But we are not resting
on our laurels. We are planning our St. Patrick's Day celebrations,
then bringing the beer garden out of hibernation, organising pig-roasts and
further improvements to our menus ready for the
summer.
Thank you
all for making my first year so successful. The work never stops
but the fun continues.
