Many
thanks to everyone who joined us in the beer garden last week for the
annual Anthony Millbank Charity Aunt Sally Competition on Bank Holiday
Monday.
Amid cries
of "Fix!" Duncan Earl won the singles competition and lifted the
impressive trophy he himself had donated to commemorate his late friend.
However, the real winner was
Macmillan Cancer Relief, for which £236 was
raised to assist with their work in supporting those suffering from
cancer.
Many
thanks to all who took part, and we look forward to seeing you all next
year.

Our
new restaurant menu
is launched today, and over the past week we've been road-testing it to be
sure we get it right first time when you place your order.
A selection of
customers and staff were invited to test the menu. In
return for a free dinner, our guinea pigs were asked to give us
feedback on the menu and the dishes, and, if they felt they had had an
enjoyable meal, to make a small donation to our house charity,
Support for the Sick Newborn And their Parents
(SSNAP).
During the week's trial
we achieved two things: we fine-tuned the menu so that you get the
best we have to offer when you place your order; and through the
generosity of our guests and staff (pictured above), we raised over £60 for SSNAP.
Our thanks to everyone
who helped us with the road test; we're sure you'll thank them too when
you order your first dish from our
new restaurant menu. We look
forward to taking your order. |
