qualities you would expect of a traditional bitter from one of England's
oldest brewers.
Taking its name from Ye
Olde Trip To Jerusalem Inn nestling at the foot of Nottingham Castle,
Olde Trip Ale truly is 'the real ale with the real tale'.
Legend has it that the inn was where knights, rallying to the call of
King Richard, stopped off for 'one for the road' on their way to the
Holy Land to join the Third Crusade. Fortunately, Olde Trip isn't
just reserved for crusaders and was much appreciated when we had it as
our guest at The Fox

The roots of The
Reverend James trace back to 1767, when, under the ownership of Henry Child, a
prominent Methodist, the Buckleys Brewery began to brew beer in Llanelli. The
Reverend James Buckley later took on the serious development of the
brewery after his marriage to Child's daughter, Maria. A traditional centuries
old recipe is followed to brew this premium ale, now proving to be a
highly desirable guest throughout the UK, and we're sure our customers
will approve.
