Clubs Meeting ...

... at The Fox are assured a warm welcome, whether it is for a place to socialise or to hold more formal meetings or events.  Depending on numbers, we may be able to negotiate a special deal on refreshments should they be required.  We would be happy for your club to join the list of those we already know:

The Abingdon Bear Club
The Bear Club was founded in 1767 as a gentleman's dining club.  The club still meets eight times each year, dining at different restaurants within ten miles of Abingdon and, since the pub changed hands in 2004, has chosen The Fox as one of its favoured venues.

The Didcot Phoenix Club
The Phoenix Club meets at The Fox every Thursday evening from 8.30pm.  The club is open to mature single people who want to meet new friends, and they organise many social events throughout the year.  New members are always welcome, and are greeted in person on club evenings at The Fox, so why not come along and join in the fun.

The Fox Inn Aunt Sally Team
The Aunt Sally outdoor season runs from the beginning of May through to the middle of September, and The Fox is extremely proud of its house teams, one of which has won the Abingdon Summer Premier League title five times in the past eight years.  We provide hot meals for them after their home matches.

Harwell International Cricket Club
The club is based at Harwell International Business Centre, where it plays its home matches, but since the closure of the centre's social club some years ago, the cricket club has been using The Fox as its base for meetings and post-match celebrations (or commiserations.)

The Kingfisher Canoe Club
The Kingfisher Canoe Club is an adults only club with around 40 members, most of whom are active paddlers. Based at Abingdon Rowing Club, they meet at The Fox on Wednesday evenings, when they order from our
dinner menu.  The Club has its own website; for further details contact the Club Secretary on 0870 874 2940.

Steventon Choral Society
The choral society is a friendly choir of about 50 singers performing music ranging from Handel to Lloyd Webber.  The society is approaching its 50th season, and raises money for charity through its public performances.  The singers meet at The Fox each Thursday night after rehearsals at Steventon Village Hall.  The society has its own
website for those interested in its history and performances - including at The Royal Albert Hall!

Steventon Football Club
Although the village football club has its own bar facilities, many of the players use The Fox as one of their regular pubs, and we are happy to support the club with its fund-raising activities.  The football club has its own
website for those interested in the club - the 2004/5 North Berks Division 2 Champions.
